Translation and Revision

I provide written translation, revision, editing, and proofreading services for institutional, legal, policy, financial, and technical materials, as well as for executive and private clients requiring accurate and discreet linguistic support.

Assignments typically involve international agreements and related instruments, legislation and regulations, policy papers, technical documentation, and other texts that are relied upon in decision‑making, submitted within formal procedures, or circulated among specialist audiences.

Terminology, register, consistency with existing materials, awareness of the framework within which the document operates, and experience across different subject areas all contribute to the final text functioning as intended. Client‑specific requirements, style preferences, and house conventions are accommodated as part of this process.

Academic background in international finance, business administration, and translation and interpreting informs this work directly — particularly in financial, institutional, and legally sensitive materials where subject matter understanding is as important as linguistic precision.

Certified & Notarised Translations

Certified translations can be provided where required for court, official, administrative, or regulatory purposes, in accordance with applicable professional and regulatory standards. Where certification requirements differ between jurisdictions or receiving authorities, the appropriate approach can be discussed and agreed in advance. Notarised translations for use in Ukraine can also be arranged.

Documentation is not always straightforward and may contain different spellings of names or other inconsistencies. I take a solution‑oriented approach to such cases while remaining within the professional role of the translator.

Revision

Revision is carried out against the source text to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Editing

Editing addresses clarity, structure, style, and readability.

Proofreading

Proofreading provides a final review before submission or circulation.

01

Working Process

Scope, deadlines, format requirements, and review stages are agreed at the outset. Where glossaries, reference materials, previous translations, or internal documentation are available, these are incorporated to ensure consistency and continuity across the wider body of work.

02

Confidentiality

All materials are treated with strict confidentiality. This applies as a matter of professional ethics across all contexts, and as a matter of obligation where documents form part of legal, regulatory, or formal proceedings.
